The World of Faeries

Hello, friends!
I'm going to review the Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black.
The story all starts when Jared, Simon and Mallory Grace move into an old creepy house and discover a hidden room of Great-uncle Arthur. Arthur believed in magical creatures but that doesn't mean they really exist...right? Wrong!
Solving a riddle, the Grace children find Arthur's field guide, but it's not a normal field guide. It explains about all sorts of magical things!
This is when the real story begins. They meet many magical creatures- and dangerous ones too, who want the book!
The kids discover the real magic of the world and their old house. But will they be able to protect the field guide and learn more about the magical world around them?
The idea is very creative, but the story is often slow-paced and a little boring, and even though the book seems a medium-sized, the story isn't much.
I recommend these books for ages 7-11.
These books may not be your favorite but it's good enough for a quick read. For some this will be an ideal series.
