I'm going to review the book The Magical Ballet Slippers. The book is written by Nick Ellsworth.
This charming book is about four ballerinas Lily, Wanda, Amber and Tilly. They find out that the prima ballerina, Fleur, has a pair of magical ballet slippers, but no-one else is allowed to wear them...
Then tragedy strikes. Fleur's slippers disappear, and she can't dance without them!
So, the four ballerinas start to search for the slippers. They look everywhere, but when they put them on, something very weird starts to happen...
Will the girls be able to find the slippers? What happens when they put the slippers on?
This charming little book is very colorful and attractive with the help of Veronica Vasylenko's illustrations. There's even a little necklace with a ballet slipper charm.
The book is appropriate for kids 5-8 and budding ballerinas.
