Ariel the Aeronaut

Hello, friends!
Have you read The Big Balloon Race, written by Eleanor Coerr, which is an I Can Read book? If not, I'll tell you about it.
Ariel's mother, Carlotta, is a famous aeronaut. One day, before a race, Ariel begs her mother to take her on the balloon too. Her mother, however, is against the idea.
So, before her mother climbs into the balloon, Ariel gets into the basket of the Lucky Star. The Lucky Star is Carlotta's balloon.
Soon, Ariel falls asleep in the basket, and when the balloon takes off, Ariel is still inside!
Will Ariel be able to help her mother win the race? Or will she just be extra weight?
Eleanor Coerr is a Canadian-born American writer. She's also written S is for Silver and Biography of a Giant Panda.
I recommend this book for ages 7-9.
This is a very nice book with colorful pictures and good, appropriate vocabulary!
