Introduction to the FAVORITE BLAST!

Hello readers!
I got a great idea! For the next month or so, I'm going to review my TOP FAVORITE books... Here's a list on what books I'll review. However, my top favorite books that I've already reviewed aren't included in this list, so books like The Secret Series aren't here because I've already reviewed them...

Two Different Girls- One Special Friendship!

Hey readers,
What would you prefer: Being a famous child of a rock star or being a child who has a poor life with privacy?
Sunset Kilman is the oldest daughter of aging rock star Danny Kilman. She has a talent for writing songs and has amazing possessions. Great, right? Maybe not- Sunset isn't loud or pretty and she hates flashing lights. She would rather have a quiet life than warring parents who both won't admit they both are wrong. Sometimes it feels like nobody notices she's there and even if they do notice, people think she's a bit crazy and weird.
Or meet Destiny, who lives with her Mum in a council estate in Northern England. Destiny isn't rich but she lives very happily with her Mum. At least, that's at home. At school, Destiny is mocked by everybody and the most exciting thing that has ever happened in her life is participating in...the school talent show. She's an amazing singer. Things are unpredictable, but Destiny is sure that nothing will go wrong and that she will live happily with her Mum.
End of Story. Or is it?
Destiny is actually Danny  Kilman's long-lost daughter. But, when Destiny and her Mum visit Danny's house, they are driven away by Danny's wife and Sunset's mother, Suzy. But Sunset sees everything and believes that Destiny is Dad's other daughter. So, a link is formed in between the two girls and they each send letters to one another.
But, things don't go as planned. Destiny's Mum isn't well and they barely have any money at all. Kids tease Destiny and think she's a joke. Meanwhile, Sunset's Dad runs off and the papers begin to abuse Danny. Things aren't going well, but maybe there is a chance for both families...
 This book is a great book and it is one book that you could read over and over again. It is written by Jacqueline Wilson who has also written The Dare Game, The Worry Website, Queenie, etc.
I recommend this book to ages 9 and above.

This Review is not Good For You...

Recently, I've been reading this awesome series called the Secret Series by Pseudonymous Bosch. If you like mystery and secrets, this is the book for you (Oh, and by the way, this review isn't actually not good for you...I think).

The story is about a girl called Cassandra, who's nickname is Cass. Cass lives in _______ town, in _______ street and goes to _______ school. (Fill in the blanks yourself- nothing is revealed in the book, and Cass isn't even her real name. Ditto for everyone else in the series- that's why it's called the Secret Series.) 

Anyway- Cass is a survivalist and has no friends at all- what she does have is her mom Mel, her trusty backpack, and her very pointy ears- that is, until she meets Max-Ernest, an extremely talkative boy. Together, they investigate a mysterious box that appears at her granddads' house. The box is called the Symphony of Smells and is filled with vials which contain smells in them. This one box leads them to a series of adventures with a boy called Benjamin Blake, and lands up with them finding out about a secret society, the Terces Society, which protects the Secret... 

On the way, an odd Barbie look-alike and a old-yet-young man try to steal the Symphony of Smells, and Benjamin Blake. The first book ends with...a secret....

From then on, Cass and Max-Ernest get involved in mysterious quests for the Terces Society and get to know all sorts of dark things normal children should not know. (Then again, since when have the two friends ever been normal?)

Then, what happens is... another secret! Okay, maybe not, but I'm telling you to read the book if you want to know more.

As you probably guessed, 'Pseudonymous Bosch' is a pseudonym for the real author and nothing is revealed about him/her, except for that he/she is probably a member of the Terces Society and is a very bad secret-keeper.

The series consists of 'The Name of This Book is Secret,' 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late,' 'This Book is Not Good For You,' 'This Isn't What It Looks Like' and the latest book 'You Have to Stop This.'

I recommend this book for ages 9 and above. You'll love the series! 

Gaby Lost and Found

Hello everybody,
A friend sent me a review about a book called Gaby Lost and Found...

Gaby Lost and Found is a great book for children ages above 7. It is about a girl called Gaby who's mother was deported to the Honduras and she has to live with her father.
She has to live days without food and getting teased in school. Soon, she goes to an animal shelter where she has a big job to write profiles on each each animal to get adopted. The book is about how she solves all her problems by herself. This is a really great book and I love it!

School Friends are Forever!

Hello everyone,
Today I'll be reviewing the School Friends series by Ann Bryant.
Silver Spires is a humongous school with many boarding houses: Beech, Oakley, Forest Ash, Hazeldean, Willowhaven, and Elmhurst. Each have different dorms with precious stone names.
There are two School Friends series by Ann Bryant.
Series One is about the girls in Amethyst dorm in the boarding house Hazeldean. Katy, Georgie, Mia, Naomi and Jess are all different yet they are all friends. All of them have their own story to tell and different passions. Pretty Katy loves fashion, hilarious Georgie can act, wise princess Naomi helps everybody, sporty Grace participates- and wins- competitions, musical Mia can play multiple instruments and daydreamer Jess is a great artist. All of them have secrets and hopes, dreams and determination.
These six girls have all sorts of problems, and they always help each other.
Books in this series are First Term at Silver Spires, Drama at Silver Spires, Rivalry at Silver Spires, Princess at Silver Spires, Secrets at Silver Spires and Star of Silver Spires.
Series Two is about the girls in Emerald dorm in the house Forest Ash.
Nicole, Izzy, Emily, Antonia, Sasha and Bryony are best friends who share secrets with each other. They know that together, they can do anything. Meet brainy Nicole, talented Izzy, feisty Emily,
bi-lingual Antonia, water-loving Sasha and tomboy Bryony.
The books in this series are Party at Silver Spires, Dancer at Silver Spires, Dreams at Silver Spires, Magic at Silver Spires, Success at Silver Spires and Mystery at Silver Spires.
Ann Bryant has also written the Ballerina Dreams series, William the Crack Shot Kid, Billy and the Parent Plan and many more.
I recommend this series for ages 9-12.
I like this series because of the description of the settings and plot and the jokes that are in it, although I personally like the first series better!

You're Invited to a Creepover...Again!

Hey guys,
Okay, I know that I already reviewed You're Invited to a Creepover: Ready for A Scare? way back in July 2014, but since then I have read more than two books of the same series and have decided to review the series itself now by P.J. Night.
Could you imagine that you are having a fun sleepover that suddenly turned into a- brr- a creepover. I sure can't! But I'm pretty sure that the girls in the creepover series can, since they've been in creepovers themselves!
Meet Abby, who's being haunted by a dead girl who lived in her neighborhood. Or knock on Emily's door, prepared to meet her and maybe her new friends... Log onto Kelly's webcam sleepover, if you dare, and disappear in a gust of peppermint aroma. Join Jenna's sleepover, maybe, and wait for the Marked Monster.
Werewolves, ghosts, vampires, zombies... each book has a different plot and story.
These books are rated usually from 3 to 5 on the Creep-o-meter.
Not much is known about the author P.J. Night except that he or she is a night owl and works in the early mornings to write these books (as written in Simon and Schuster). Some books of the series are Truth or Dare, You Can't Come in Here!, What a Doll!, The House Next Door, Your Worst Nightmare and many more.
I like these books a lot because they have good plots and they're really creepy (maybe P.J. Night really does work at night in a dark mansion). I recommend this series for tweens and ages 9 to 12.
Can't wait to get my hands on the next nightmare in the series...

Get Them!

Hello, everybody!
Recently I read this awesome book written by Hope McLean. It is the first book in the Jewel Society series, Catch Us If You Can.
Jasmine, Willow, Erin and new girl Lili go to the all girls school Martha Washington. For years, their school hasn't taken part in the Quiz Bowl, but ka-boom, the four best friends are chosen for their expertise in different subjects. Jasmine, for Science, Willow, for Math, Erin, for History and Lili, for Art, Literature, Culture, Fashion and a bunch of other stuff...(she's still working on it.)
The Jewels team are winning competitions and are so close to beating their rivals, the um... Rivals of Atkinson Prep.Suddenly, their confidence is nearly shattered when the heart of the school, the Martha Washington ruby is stolen from display.
That's when the girls must go undercover to find the thief...or thieves. Shockingly- or maybe not- the thieves are the Atkinson Rivals! But when the Jewels try to reveal the truth, nobody believes them and they are only humiliated in front of everybody.
That's when they find a shocking letter from Martha Washington, which can probably tell them the mystery of why the Rivals want the ruby...along with four other precious stones.
Can the Jewels prevent the Rivals from carrying out their dangerous plan? Can they get their self-esteem back?
Hope McLean has also written the other books in the series, Diamonds Are a Thief's Best Friend, Keep Friends Close Emeralds Closer and Battle of the Brightest.
I recommend this book for 8 and above.
Although the idea that middle-schoolers can so smoothly steal jewels is skeptical, I totally cannot wait till I can get my hands on the next book!
