Mystery-loving Trixie!

Hey, everybody!
Not many people have heard of the Trixie Belden series by Julie Campbell, but that's because it started in 1948 and ended in 1986.
The books are about Trixie, a thirteen-year-old and her best friend Honey who moves in next door. They are both complete opposites, but the two become best friends. They also have a knack for solving mysteries.
Along with the others, such as Jim Frayne and other supporting characters, they solve all sorts of puzzling mysteries.
The setting is mostly the countryside town of Sleepyside.
Trixie loves horses and she's usually does something before she thinks. Honey is a rich girl who is very cautious and is great at swimming.
Julie Campbell was an American writer. Her Trixie Belden books have been reprinted with different covers and publishers over and over again. She has also written the Ginny Gordon books.
I recommend this book for ages 8 to 12. This is also a refreshing change from the Nancy Drew series, and I can't wait to get my hands on another one!
I love these books because there are always a lot of clues and and suspects which is always good.
You guys should really read this series: it's so cool!

Being a Familiar

Hey readers!
Recently I have read a book that I really loved. It's the first book in The Familiars series, Animal Wizardry, by Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Jacobson.
It's about Aldwyn, an alley cat who stumbles into a pet shop for familiars. Familiars are special animals who help wizards with their magic. But before he can leave the shop, a young wizard Jack chooses him for his familiar.
But Aldwyn doesn't have any magic!
He makes friends with Skylar and Gilbert, more familiars. When the trio's masters are captured by the Queen, including Jack, they must save them, but many adventures await them...
Will they be able to save their wizards? And can Aldwyn convince the other familiars that he is not the alley cat that he actually is and that he is the magical cat he isn't?
I love this book and I give it 5 stars!
This book is recommended for ages 8-12.
You should definitely read this book!

There's No Place Like Home!

Hey everyone!
Most of you have probably read The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum or have seen the movie. If not, I'll tell you about it...
The story is about Dorothy and her dog Toto, who are swept away from Kansas in a terrible tornado. They land in the magical land of Oz.
Once there, the Good Witch of the North tells Dorothy that the only way to get home is to go to the powerful Wizard of Oz.
Dorothy  and Toto have to follow the golden brick path, but it's a very dangerous journey to the Emerald City, where the Wizard lives.
On the way they meet the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion who each want something from the Wizard.
But, once there, the Wizard tells them that to get their wishes, they have to do something rather impossible: kill the Wicked Witch of the East!
Will the group be able to get their wishes? Will they be able to succeed against the Wicked Witch? This book is  for all ages and there are many different editions.
This book is wonderful, and I think this is the perfect classic for all ages.

The World of a Feisty Little Girl

Hey, everyone!
Today I'll review the Junie B. Jones series, by Barbara Park.
The series is about Junie B. Jones, a little girl who is very feisty a speaks her mind. She always gets in trouble with her teachers.
There are two series- Junie B. Jones, which stars Junie B. in kindergarten. Junie B., First Grader stars Junie B. in first grade. In the first series, Junie B.'s friends are Lucille and 'that Grace.'
In the second series, Junie B. has a teacher who is called Mr. Scary, and her best friend Herb.
She embarks on many funny adventures, and her wrong grammar is very funny.
These books are very funny and are recommended for ages 6-8.
Barbara Park is one of today's funniest authors. Denise Brunkus illustrates the books with hilarious drawings.
These stories are hilarious and will have readers laughing!    

What Could You Do With a Moon?

Hello, guys!
I'm going to talk about The Birthday Moon by Lois Duncan.
The book is written in a poem form, and it talks about how your present is going to be a moon.
From then on, the poem starts to talk about what you could do with a full moon, a crescent moon, or a half moon. You could use the moon as a bowl, or a coin a balloon, a ball or even an umbrella!
There are also very beautiful watercolor illustrations by Susan Duncan that will enchant you till the end.
I love this book and I recommend it for ages 3-8.
This book is very creative and pretty. I also love the poem form that it is written in!
I think that this is a really good book and is definitely a must-read!
